NMC Makes Key Changes in MBBS Course

From Day 1 of the undergraduate course, adopting a family and becoming their first point of contact for any medical reasons will be a required feature of the MBBS curriculum for students.

 

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has introduced substantial modifications to the curriculum, which will be adopted from 2023-24. These changes include eliminating the stigmatized idea of additional batches and the Family Adoption Programme as a part of every year of the 4.5-year course.

 

The new rules will replace the regulations under the 25-year-old guidelines,“ Regulation of Graduate Medical Education, 1997.”
